Welcome to our comprehensive guide for pre- and post-care instructions for our aesthetic services. Proper preparation and aftercare are crucial for optimal results. Please select your service below for detailed guidelines. This information is for educational purposes, and you should always follow the specific instructions of your Aesthetic Provider.

Services:

Chemical Peel Treatment

Before Your Visit:

  • Follow any specific instructions as discussed with your service provider.
  • Shave / Buzz treatment area 24-48 hours prior to treatment.
  • Wear dry, loose fitting underwear the day of the peel.
  • Recommend continuation of loose, dry, cotton undergarments 3-5 days post peel to decrease friction/irritation.
  • If you have any allergies or any of the following contraindications, please inform your service provider as parts of the treatment might be adjusted/substituted.
    • Pregnancy/breastfeeding
    • Hypertrophic scarring
    • Melanoma
    • Chemo/radiation within past 6 months
    • Autoimmune disease/disorders
    • Phenol allergy
    • History of herpes, keloids, warts
    • Cannot be applied to areas with tattoos, piercings or areas of excoriation

After Your Visit:

  • Follow any specific instructions as discussed with your service provider.
  • Wash peel off 4 hours after in-office administration.
  • Use gentile skin cleanser (Cetaphil, Dove, etc).
  • Use the provided VI Derm Retinoic Serum on all un-peeled areas, discontinue once peeling begins.
  • Use the provided VI Post Treatment Repair to any irritated areas.
  • Apply Aquaphor if irritation persists.
  • No SUN exposure for 2 weeks, wear SPF if outdoors.
  • Refrain from heat inducing activities for 5-7 days.
    • Exercise
    • Sauna
    • Hot tub
    • Steam room
  • Peel may cause temporary hyperpigmentation or breakout.

Microneedling Treatment

Before Your Visit:

  • Follow any specific instructions as discussed with your service provider.
  • No retinol/exfoliants for 48 hours prior to treatment.
  • No botox/fillers 1 week prior to treatment.
  • Avoid Accutane for about 6 months prior to treatment.
  • Recommended to shave the area being treated the day prior to the procedure.
  • Recommended to avoid NSAIDs/thinning agents 24-48 hours prior to treatment to reduce bleeding.

After Your Visit:

  • Follow any specific instructions as discussed with your service provider.
  • Only use SkinFuse for irritation/burning within the first 24 hours.
  • NO cleansing skin or products other than SkinFuse within the first 24 hours.
  • No exercise, steam rooms, saunas for 48-72 hours.
  • Normal skin regime and workouts can resume after 72 hours, including Retinols and exfoliants.
  • Sunblock of SPF 30+ AFTER initial 24 hours.
  • Avoid sun tanning/prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for 2 weeks.

Butt Facial Treatment

Before Your Visit:

  • Follow any specific instructions as discussed with your service provider.
  • It is recommended to use the restroom and shower before the visit.
  • Wear inexpensive, breathable underwear on the day of your visit.
  • Please wait 1 week after sun exposure to the area.
  • Avoid using products that can cause skin sensitivity such as Retinols, Benzoyl Peroxide, Glycolic acid, etc. for one week prior to your visit.
  • Notify your Aesthetic Provider if there are any allergies to Salicylic Acid, aspirin, etc.
  • If you have a history of Herpes Simplex viral infections, a prescription antiviral medication is required three days prior to treatment and for five days post.  
  • If you have any open lesions or sores, please wait for them to heal before you schedule your appointment.
  • If you have any allergies or any of the following contraindications, please inform your service provider as parts of the treatment might be substituted.
    • Pacemaker or other implanted electronic devices
    • Epilepsy
    • Pregnancy
    • Cancer
    • Thrombosis
    • Phlebitis
    • Metal plates or pins in the application area  
    • Are under a physician’s care for a disorder, illness, disease, or injury

After Your Visit:

  • Follow any specific instructions as discussed with your service provider.
  • Feel free to shower the night of your visit or the morning after, and be sure to moisturize the area.
  • Resume moisturizing the area normally to keep the skin’s hydration levels optimal.
  • Refrain from excessive sweating for 24 hours post-treatment.
  • Avoid exfoliating the area or using products that may cause irritation for a week after your treatment.
  • No waxing, shaving, chemical hair removal, or laser hair removal for at least two weeks.

Laser Hair Removal Treatment

Before Your Visit:

  • Follow any specific instructions as discussed with your service provider.
  • Shave the area 24-48 hours before your session.
  • Avoid gym and sauna the day of visit, prior to appointment.
  • No direct sun exposure or tanning beds for two weeks prior to visit.
  • Do not wax/sugar 6 weeks prior to your visit.
  • Antibiotic use should be discontinued 2 weeks prior to your visit.
  • Do not use any products that may increase your skin sensitivity for one week prior to treatment.
    • Such as Retinols, Salicylic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide, Glycolic Acid, etc.  
  • If you have a history of Herpes Simplex viral infections, a prescription antiviral medication is required three days prior to treatment and for five days post.  
  • If you have any open lesions or sores, please wait for them to heal before you schedule your appointment.
  • Do not use self-tanning lotion in the area being treated.

After Your Visit:

  • Follow any specific instructions as discussed with your service provider.
  • After your session, a pink or reddish color bumps may linger for a day or so. This will fade, and your skin should regain its natural color and texture shortly following your hair removal session.
  • Hydrocortisone OTC may be used for excess irritation.
  • Avoid sun exposure for two weeks.
  • Avoid friction and excessive heat to the treated area for at least 24 hours.
  • Do not exfoliate your skin or use products that may cause irritation for several days after.
  • Resume moisturizing the area to keep hydration levels optimal 24 hours post-treatment.  
  • No exercise for 24 hours.
  • No steam rooms or saunas or scalding hot showers for 48 hours.

Anal Bleaching Treatment

Before Your Visit:

  • Follow any specific instructions as discussed with your service provider.
  • No waxing, shaving, or laser hair removal for at least one week.
  • No open sores or lesions.
  • If history of Herpes Simplex viral infections a prescription antiviral medication is required 3 days prior to the procedure and 5 days post.  
  • Pre-treatment skincare must be followed as prescribed by the Aesthetic Provider.
  • Notify Aesthetic Provider of any irritation or redness noted during pre-treatment.
  • Wear darker, unimportant underwear so that the peel does not stain any important garments.
  • Notify Aesthetic Provider if you have any of the following; pregnancy or breast feeding, open wounds, sunburns, infection, allergies to salicylates (NSAIDs, Aspirin), history of poor wound healing or keloid formation.
  • No Accutane for 6 months prior.
  • Try to use the restroom beforehand.
  • Your appointment will be about 45 minutes in the office to allow the peel to dry. You will leave with the peel on, and will leave it on for about 8-10 hours before showering it off.

After Your Visit:

  • Follow any specific instructions as discussed with your service provider.
  • No waxing or laser hair removal for at least two weeks.
  • Avoid friction and excessive heat to the treated area for at least 5 days.  
  • Refrain from receptive anal play of any kind for 5-7 days.
  • Do not exfoliate your skin or use products that may cause irritation.
  • Resume moisturizing the treated area as needed.  
  • Follow post-care skincare as prescribed by Aesthetic Provider.
